With my interest in photography in full swing, I've been thinking of doing a couple of projects for my dA page. One of the first projects I would like to start on is something seems to have piqued my fancy:  crosses.  During the Easter season, my local church had planted several crosses across campus, each of them draped with a purple cloth.  Thanks to late afternoon sun, I was able to take some intriguing shots of the cross, some with the sun shining in the background.  Eventually, I'll post them later (I just need to figure out some logistics, like copyrighting).  Anyway, since then, I've felt inspired by the cross itself and have decided

First off, I will admit I've been a lurker to DV, trolling through deviations but being hesitant to submit any works of my own.  At the time, I had no artwork to submit, since I was just an admirer.  I enjoyed seeing all the unique perspectives and visuals, and it tickled my nerves to get creative.  However, I couldn't think of what I could contribute. Until last Christmas... One day, my Mom asked me what I wanted.  For some reason, and thanks in part to some things happening in my life, I asked for a new camera.  On Christmas Day, I received a Nikon D3000, with a stock 18-55mm lens.  I was excited and thrilled.  The moment I placed my hand
